Replacement of Rotted Structural Beams with Upgraded Corner Design

This job consisted of replacing three large structural engineered laminated timber beams that had rotted at the corners and were in need of replacement. Carefully propping the roof structure, we removed and replaced one beam at a time, then installed new timber posts.

The client wanted the corners to have a more substantial look and feel, so we framed them out and clad them with James Hardie Matrix fibre cement sheets to give the structure more bulk and better visual balance.

Rotted fascia was also replaced, and new flashings were installed to ensure the roof remained watertight.

Another straightforward structural repair completed by the Monet Constructions crew.
