Full Structural Rebuild After Severe Termite Damage

This client came to us needing extensive repairs to badly damaged floor joists caused by severe termite activity.

The existing floor had sunk considerably in one corner of the kitchen and dining area and was completely unsupported. Upon inspection, it was clear the termites had caused significant damage to the timber bearers and joists — we were genuinely surprised the floor had held up for as long as it did. The client was in the process of arranging her new kitchen prior to engaging us.

The scope was clear: completely strip out the kitchen, all flooring, and all damaged bearers and joists. We then rebuilt the subfloor using Red Alert LVL termite-treated engineered timbers, re-sheeted the floor with James Hardie Secura fibre cement sheeting, and installed a new aluminium window while we were there.

Everything is now rock solid and structurally sound, ready for the new kitchen and tiled flooring.
