New First-Floor Deck, Roof Structure & Stacking Door Upgrade

This elevated deck project included a new roof structure and a large stacking door unit. A cantilevered, decaying deck and pergola were demolished to make way for a new elevated first-floor deck and roof.

The new structure was built using galvanised steel posts and beams, Spotted Gum hardwood decking, and Spotted Gum handrails with stainless steel cables. Stairs were incorporated into the design to provide direct access to the backyard and pool.

A new roof was constructed over the deck, complete with Velux skylights. Structural alterations were also made to the rear living room wall to install a large stacking door unit, enhancing the connection between indoors and outdoors and creating a spacious, flowing living area.
