Comprehensive Carpentry Works on a $12M Architectural Build

This was one of the largest homes we have worked on — an architecturally designed prestige residence with a build cost well in excess of $12 million. The home was built over three levels and incorporated extensive living areas, six bedrooms all with ensuites, a lift, tennis court, cabana, separate gym, cinema, games room, wine cellar, a live-in housekeeper’s apartment, and extensive garaging with a car turntable and storage.

We were contracted to supply the carpentry labour for this project. This was the second time we had worked with this client, having also completed works on his previous home in Double Bay.

Myself and four of my team worked on this project for more than 12 months. We completed all the conventional cut-on-site roof framing to both the main house and pool house, detailed eaves linings, bulkheads, tiered flooring for the cinema, wall framing and cavity units. We also installed all timber windows and external French door units, and framed and built the large 14-metre skylight that served as a major architectural feature, bringing natural light from the roof down to the ground floor.

Internally, we completed the full fitout of all doors, architraves and skirting boards, installed the tennis court net posts, and carried out numerous other associated carpentry works.

Projects like this give me a great deal of job satisfaction.
