Structural Alterations, Boundary Compliance & Internal Upgrades

One of our best repeat clients contacted us wanting to install an inclinator to access his waterfront property — but there was a problem. There was very limited room in relation to boundary clearances between the home and the side boundary.

The solution was to cut off the side of the house… well, sort of. We cut down the block concrete wall so we could maintain the minimum clearances and avoid encroaching on the boundary distances specified by council. We then carried out alterations to the side of the house, moving the external wall in by approximately 300mm, relocating steel support posts and completing all necessary structural modifications.

Sections of block and stone retaining walls further down the property also had to be cut out to allow the inclinator rail to run its full length. In addition, we rebuilt the side privacy screens as required by council, ensuring minimum clearances were maintained between the inclinator cart and the structure.

On top of the external works, we completed internal cosmetic alterations and renovations including a new gas fireplace, custom entertainment joinery, painting and new flooring.
