Complete Rear Yard Makeover with Pergola Upgrade, Travertine & Landscaping

A favourite repeat client contacted us wanting a complete makeover of their backyard. We engaged a landscape designer we had worked with previously, and a landscape brief was drafted, including rebuilding the existing pergola, new stone retaining walls, travertine pathways, a water feature, garden beds, new turf and garden lighting.

The existing pergola was reroofed, Velux skylights were added for natural light, and new timber V-joint lining boards were installed to the ceiling along with downlights. Glass windows were added to the gable to complete the new outdoor room. The alfresco concrete was extended and tiled with travertine to create a seamless flow into the yard.

The retaining walls and pathways were also tiled in travertine. New garden beds were planted, fresh lawn was laid, and garden lighting was added to create a warm, inviting atmosphere on those warm summer nights. The water feature adds a soothing, relaxing touch to the upgraded backyard.
