Completion and Repair of an Incomplete Renovation by a Previous Builder

This was an interesting project, as we were already working on a large extension next door when we were approached by the owner to complete and rectify a renovation commenced by another builder.

Unfortunately for the client, the original builder failed to complete the works despite many months of requests and even direction from Fair Trading. As a result, we were engaged to rectify and finish the project, and much of the existing work was substandard and required rebuilding or repair.

The project consisted of a modern, architecturally designed extension to the main bedroom and laundry, along with internal renovation works.

A new “pop-out” wing was constructed on the side of the home to accommodate a new walk-in robe and ensuite, with alterations also made to the existing bedroom. A new separate toilet was constructed, and the existing main bathroom was fully renovated.

The laundry was extended at the rear with another pop-out addition.

The use of James Hardie Stria fibre cement cladding gave the extension a modern and contemporary look, and combined with the unique wall colour, it really makes this addition stand out.
